What MTC is
MTC runs Hong Kong's on-demand car network: real cars parked where you already are, unlocked with the app, priced by the minute with a hard daily cap. Live since December 2025, the network covers carparks across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories — no counters, no keys, no paperwork.
How it runs
The fleet lives in public carparks across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. You pick a pickup point in the app — or walk up to a car and scan it — and drive out.
The app is the key. Licence-plate recognition opens carpark gates; there is nothing to collect and nothing to hand back. Return to any MTC station, lock in the app, done.
Pricing is the whole story: HK$80 to start, HK$1 per minute, capped at HK$800 per 24 hours. Insurance is included, and every trip runs on the same terms.
